Palakkad is one of the districts which falls in the malabar region. Swetha Khandahavalli’s grandmother’s home town, place where she learnt traditional knowledge about native food and the medicinal values of each and every ingredient along with new culinary skills, the fine blend of spices, new methods of cooking from the ancient world, which she passes on now to her kids.
It’s where she was taught how to make fresh coconut milk, how to grind spices without using neither a blender nor a grinder. In this region every dish is prepared using coconut oil and cooked in clay pots, seafood is cooked in banana leaves.
In this cooking class Swetha will show and share with you all some new technique’s and new methods on how to cook a proper malabar menu.
